My goal? To make pipe-smoking cool again while revolutionizing the aquaculture industry into the world’s leading food source. But can a pipe-smoking Norwegian entrepreneur really make a difference? Let’s circle back to that question in 2050.
Born in Oslo and raised in Northern Norway, I grew up immersed in fishing and hunting—traditions that have become my lifelong passions. Whether it’s catching salmon on dry flies, free diving for scallops, or hunting ptarmigan in the winter, these activities recharge my spirit and drive my commitment to preservation. I view aquaculture as a key solution for protecting these natural resources. Now 36, I live in Narvik with my son Gunnar, my partner, and our German Kleine Münsterländer dog. When I’m not with them, I’m dedicated to my passions and aquaculture work.
I strongly believe in advocating through transparent information. By sharing my journey—the good and the bad—I hope to provide a balanced perspective that others can learn from. Through my blog and The Rokter’s social media channels, I aim to blend my professional and personal experiences, keeping you informed and involved. My goal is that by openly discussing both challenges and successes, more people can see the true potential and complexities of aquaculture from my point of view.
My commitment is to preserving nature so that future generations can enjoy the experiences I hold dear. As the global population continues to grow, sustainable food production is crucial. I believe aquaculture offers a key solution, balancing the need to feed people while protecting the environment. My work focuses on developing new technologies to advance this industry. Through this blog, I share my insights and aim to contribute to the ongoing dialogue about sustainable food production.
